are very successful and have many youth employed to date.
Freda Camphor (assistant director Department of Labour) popped in and also took the stand. She answered
questions of how the Department is assisting to help fight unemployment. She had many questions to answer and everyone enthusiastically peppered her with questions, which she handled very professionally and all left more informed. Petula Hart is here with Freda

Successfully launched a campaign to get people to vote for Table Mountain as one of the Natural Wonders of the World. In three days we collected 1600 votes.
With the Vote for Table Mountain campaign we discovered that few people have been on the mountain. To
take our locals to Table Mountain has now become one of our major yearly events and fundraiser as not just the local people go, but people from other areas also join us. It is a family affair and enjoyed by all.
This year, 2013 we took some foreigners from Norway to our Table Mountain trip. They are from an NGO
called Nystart Backpackers and they assist orphanages and organisations in need. We had a beautiful day with the volunteers in between their busy programme.
With financial assistance from Nystart from Norway, we helped Zanokhanyo Childrens Home in Khayelitsha with their vegetable garden and also cleaned up their premises.
Joachim & Jaeanette from Norway happy after a long day of cleaning yard and planting veggies in the
scorching SA heat. The kids also assisted eagerly.
Estelle getting her hands dirty at Zanokhanyo Children’s Home
The popular Gospel singer Jakkie Weideman entertained our elderly people last year on
Women’s Day 2012 with his beautiful songs.
This is an annual affair and we try to get local celebrities to attend or entertain our people.
Radio Tygerberg also supported us with some wonderful inspirational stories and songs.
Aletta outdone herself on the event as usual it was a huge success.
New Years day we aligned with other organisations for the first time and had a turn-out of almost 300
people.
Young Fabulous Playboys entertained us for part of the day.
Human Rights Day 2013-05-13 opposite Sakabula Flats in Ruyterwacht we fed about 70 people including children.
CUP Ruyterwacht started of with a bang. May the future for them be prosperous and may they be successful in their endeavors to uplift and support our communities.
